Busy Bee
I wrote for national and regional newspapers as a reporter, sub editor and supplements editor for many years. Looking for a change, I decided to become a freelancer Marathi blogger. Topics I usually talk about are social media, cyber crime awareness, food, fashion, beauty, literature, poetry, books and travelling.
As a journalist, I have profiled many independent women; women who themselves are putting a lot of effort into art, culture and various social fields. Those articles were published in the “City woman” column of Divya Marathi newspaper. I also wrote different articles about women involved in NGOs for the Madhurima supplement as well as stories and interviews.
Other than writing, I have developed a new skill of expressive Marathi typography and I have completed the Visharad level in Hindustani classical music (vocal). I enjoy all types of music as music gives me peace to mind.
A couple of initiatives that I started recently are a Facebook page named Cyber Rakshak related to bringing cyber crime awareness in the Marathi language and a Whatsapp group where members can sing Bollywood songs and play antakshari. I think music gives joy and, hence, one should keep singing for oneself!
My hobbies are gardening, Warli painting, painting, playing musical instruments.
For me, life is all about creating happiness by doing what one likes to do; life is all about being open to new experiences and trying new things all the time.
