Moon Yoguini
“With the accelerated pace of our day to day and all the external stimuli we receive it is possible that we forget our union with whom we really are, with our cyclical nature. And more in the era that is no longer marked by the menstrual cycle. “
But if you pay attention and listen to yourself, you will notice that when the Moon is in its dark phase, New Moon or Black Moon, you will feel that you enjoy solitude and silence. (It used to be the phase during which we menstruated when we had our active menstrual cycle.)
If we imagine that we are like the sea, influenced by the Moon, at this stage our waters are calm. An ideal time to dive and delve into them, to reflect and look at ourselves.
There is no light without darkness and now is the time to gather ourselves in it and take stock. It is the end of the cycle, to let go of what has already done us its service, what we no longer need, and sow new intentions to be able to focus on new goals and objectives.
And with calm waters our body is also like that, calm. Prana, vital energy expands and at the same time reduces our flexibility. This is why a high-intensity yoga practice is not recommended. Our low energy, ligaments and joints are less hydrated than in other lunar phases: gentle practice is recommended and it’s and a very good time to meditate!
Before entering meditation, you can practice some asanas cautiously such as:
Bhujangasana, cobra posture, which brings us awareness of the here and now. And also releases emotions stored from stressful situations and at the same time also our fears. You will feel renewed.
Or Vrksasana, the posture of the tree, which provides balance to our two polarities, suits these moments of the end of the cycle, to keep you in a neutral state, centered. You will feel rooted.
A very suitable meditation in this phase of letting go and gaining mental clarity is to vibrate focused on the Guru Mantra or mantra of ecstasy: WAHE GURU, WAHE GURU, WAHE GURU, WAHE JIO. (You can be accompanied by music. You will find many beautiful versions by different authors.)
Sit in a relaxed position or a chair keeping the spine as upright as possible. With your hands in a bowl shape and your elbows bent, move your arms back. Visualize that you are surrounded by water and picking it up with your hands you throw it over your shoulders, with your eyes closed. Practice it for 7 to 11 minutes, with gentle and harmonious movements.
The vibration of this mantra, which expresses the experience of moving from darkness to light (from ignorance to wisdom), will elevate your spirit and balance the transforming and regenerating principles to bring you knowledge and wisdom. With the movement of your arms, you will clean the bow line, the core of your aura, what you radiate, your projection.
With this meditation, your actions will be aligned with your intuition, with your inner knowledge.
I hope you enjoy it and that you can channel your passion and regain your personal power for the new lunar cycle for all the purposes that motivate you!
A lunar hug, very feminine
