Creativity Coach
Art is in my DNA. I was encouraged early in life to pursue both art and photography while growing up in my family’s art school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Eventually I became a full-time artist in San Francisco, California – though my imagery is fueled by extensive travel. I’m married to Jack, and we have two cats and no kids. We live on a hilltop where I write, draw, paint, collage, take photos, cook, entertain, design, and make things. I like to watch films, take classes, walk, and travel – but most of all – I love to draw people.
As a figurative artist, photographer, and curator, I recently founded the Invisibility Collective, to develop projects that expose and educate people about invisibility and identity through public art and social activism. Initially this was conceived as a curatorial project to address my experience as an aging woman becoming less visible – but it has grown far beyond that. Other projects include “Barbie on the Cusp” which takes on issues around identity and role modeling through art photography and a zine series.
